After arrival and pick up the rent-a-car self-drive towards the North to Kolašin city, small town and acknowledged ski centre of Montenegro.
We avoid the high way and take the old curved road leading along the beautiful Morača canyon, where the rocking high hills and chasms are quite close. On the way short visit of the idyllic Morača monastery (13c) located on the river banks and decorated with the centuries-old frescoes.

Bjelasica mountain range is distinguished by its dense forests, wide meadows and steep slopes. There are six glacial lakes, located mostly on hardly approachable locations. In winter the mountain is very attractive ski resort with many ski trials, and in the summer it is a paradise for nature lovers.
The best way to explore the mountain and reach the most attractive peaks and viewpoints is photo Jeep Safari . It is also very attractive for children as they can see the domestic animals, different field flowers, mountain lakes, natural water sources. You can hand pick the wild blueberries that grow in abundance on the mountain slopes.
For lunch try out the local specialty in the eco mountain cottages, directly in the fresh mountain air. Homemade food, juices and marmalade for children will round off your mountain experience.

Biograd Lake, surrounded by one of only three remaining virgin forests left in Europe, where the trees rise up to 60m height and are 400 years old. The forest is rich in biodiversity, lot of plant species, birds and butterflies, as well as animals like deer, but also squirrels and foxes, which are more likely to meet.
The walk around the lake offers great experience of the nature. The path leads through the rainforest. You encounter ducks on the lake, tributary of the river and wooden bridges, can spot wild mushrooms etc.
Special experience is wooden boat and row out onto the lake, which is a treat for children.
Djurdjevića Tara Bridge, built over the deep Tara canyon close to Durmitor Mountain. The Tara Canyon is the second deepest canyon in the world, next to the Grand Canyon in the USA. From the Bridge is fantastic view to the canyon, its marvellous depths and rapids of Tara river. This bridge is for good reason one of the major attractions in Montenegro.
You may want to have a direct view down to the steep canyon sides and take a Zip line over the Tara canyon. This is only for adults, so therefore an Optional activity.
In the afternoon visit of the local farm on Durmitor. It’s a beautiful farm, run by a single family, dedicated to ecological production. You can see the old native varieties of cereals and hear about process of eco production from the garden to table.
At the farm you can taste local specialty “pita” (thin layer of dough with different fillings: like cheese, meat, potato or chart.) Along with pita local home-made yoghurt and juice are served.

Durmitor mountain range is the most beautiful national park in Montenegro featuring the 48 separate peaks and around 18 scenic glacial lake, some of them located on hardly reachable eights. The mountain abounds with many hiking trails, untouched nature, view points. authentic villages and welcoming locals.
You can choose the activity which suits you the most, wither white water rafting on the Tara river, witch leads you directly into the heart of the Tear of Europe, beautiful nature and high adrenalin activity. Or walking tour of 3 lakes, full of fantastic views and picturesque paths leading thorough the dense pine forests, There are plenty opportunities to rest and great natural environment for children.

On the way to the coast unavoidable cultural stop is the Ostrog monastery, fantastically located high up in the mountain rock. The monastery has a great cultural and religious value. Although it is orthodox monastery, the St Basils (Vasilije) is believed to be the great healer and the monastery is visited by thousands of pilgrims of different confessions every year.
A secret gem is food taste at the traditional household in the central region of Montenegro. The household has own apiary, orchard and produces own goat cheese. You can taste their cheese, honey, homemade bread and similar local specialties. You can also visit a small family museum which takes you back in time and show you a household from over 100 years old.

The Bay of Kotor consists of four small bays surrounded by high hills which provide dark blue color to the sea water and a special beauty to the whole scenery. It is rightful called also a Pearl of Mediterranean.
The best way to experience the whole Bay coast with numerous of small coastal settlements, pears and pocket beaches is from the sea perspective. Therefore we have a speed boat ride for couple of hours to explore the Bay in all its corners and special places. Small church island just in front of Perast – Our Lady of the Rock (17thc), whose construction is related to a beautiful story and is symbol of protection of sailors. Drive out to the Bay entrance and visit the Blue Cave (with bright blue color reflection), submarine tunnels and Mamula fortress turned in to the 5 star hotel.

Morning is reserved for the old town of Kotor UNESCO heritage– to walk through the narrow streets of the Mediterranean old city, see the medieval and renaissance stone palaists, churches, St Triphons cathedral and Maritime museum.
Further drive takes you up the hill the famous panoramic road with 25 serpentine with breath-taking views to the Bay of Kotor. Passing the village Njegusi on 1000m over the sea level, you reach Ivanova Korita, located in Lovćen National Park. It’s a paradise for children, with Adventure park located in the very heart of the beautiful green surrounding. There are 9 trails in total with at least 6-7 trails suitable for children of all ages. You can spend there a few hours.
After this nice activity you can make a stop in Cetinje – the old royal capital with Kings Nicolas Palais and Monastery of St Peter of Cetinje, which keeps the two important Christian relics (piece of the holy cross and the hand of John the Baptist).
In the evening arrival to Budva Riviera.

Skadar Lake is the biggest Balkan Lake and one of the five National Parks in Montenegro. Due to its geographic position and sub Mediterranean climate, it is one of the most important habitats of swamp birds in Europe, right after the river Danube delta. There are around 280 bird species on the lake, including the rare curly pelican, which became a trademark of the National Park.
Private boat tour (2 hours)
Start from Virpazar port, along the channel through the water lilies, drive out to the open lake, passing the old fortress ruin of Grmozur, and Lessendro fortress. Swimming break is also possible.
Visit of local winery with wine tasting- Skadar Lake and surrounding area is very much known for their wines.
Mostly red wine, but also the white wine at some wineries.
Taste of 3 wine etiquettes (2 red and 1 white) followed by traditional snack (smoked pork ham prosciutto and cheese)
Return to Budva is over the Pastrovacka, where the fantastic views to the sea and coast.

The last day of the program is free to have relaxed beach day.
In the late afternoon you can visit the old town of Budva, which is over 5000 years old, founded even in the time of ancient Greeks, following the legend. Archeological museum in the old town keeps all the subjects found in the necropolis nearby from the Hellenic and Iliryc time b.c.

Optional – boat ride in the Bay of Budva, visiting the coast with it numerous beaches.
After breakfast return the car to the airport.
